Abstract
This site contains PDF files of all Senate Judiciary Committee hearings on *successful* Supreme Court nominations from the Rehnquist-Powell hearings in 1971 to the Roberts hearings in 2005. The older prints have been both scanned and OCR’ed, so they are searchable, as well as amenable to copy and paste functions. Specifically, the transcripts include the hearings on the Associate Justice of the Supreme Court nominations of William H. Rehnquist, Lewis F. Powell, John Paul Stevens, Sandra Day O’Connor, Antonin Scalia, Anthony M. Kennedy, David H. Souter, Clarence Thomas, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen G. Breyer; Hearing on the Nomination of Justice William H. Rehnquist to be Chief Justice of the United States; Hearing on the Nomination of John G. Roberts, Jr. to be Chief Justice of the United States. Presumably, the Alito hearing will be added when the Committee print is published.
